CourtnDr. Diehl completed an internship in a busy referral practice near Saratoga Springs, working primarily with Thoroughbreds, Standardbreds, and Hunter-Jumpers, as well as broodmares.

She then moved to Colorado to work with Dr George Platt, her friend and mentor.

In 2007, Dr Diehl completed a fellowship in Equine Medicine and Critical Care at McGee Medical Center in Lexington KY.  She returned to Colorado and opened her second solo equine practice in Steamboat Springs where she sees a variety of equine athletes, pleasure horses and mares and foals.

Dr. Diehl has been a speaker at two American Farriers Association Conferences. She volunteers her time at the Rocky Mountain Farriers Association’s annual farrier contest in Kremmling, CO, and is dedicated to improving vet- farrier relationships.

Dr. Diehl has also spoken at various 4H and Pony Club events and was the veterinarian at the Eagle PRCA rodeo for four years.  She received an award from the Routt County Sherriff’s Department in appreciation of her dedication and commitment to helping animals.

Dr. Diehl lives in Steamboat Springs with her husband and two daughters, three horses, two dogs, three cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and pet fish.  She and her family are avid skiers and in her spare time, Dr Diehl has authored two books, and writes a monthly column for Horse Illustrated and Young Rider magazines.
